Summer is here!

I have to say that I have a hard time "feeling" like it's summer.  Growing up summer for me always came with a drastic change in weather and a world full of outdoor activities that would open up to you.  It is hot here year round and my "summer" is now the hot, humid hurricane season and our outdoor activities remain year round!
Summer here in Belize brings mangos and avocados, two of my family's FAVOURITE foods ever!!  They don't last long around here that's for sure.
The girls and I are spending many days doing tea parties, picking flowers and dressing up.  Which has been great indoor play during all the rain we have been getting.  We had our first tropical depression pass through a couple weeks ago, making us glad we are working towards to sealing up our eaves outside to be a little more secure in this hurricane season.  "They"are predicting a very active hurricane season so please keep covering us in that.

YWAM soccer (football) team:

John has been actively involved with the boys soccer team and assisting YWAM base director and head coach Santi Valencia over at YWAM Banana bank.  The team recently won 2nd place in the Belmopan Kid's Cup tournament and it came down to the last game and the team undefeated the entire season battled it out but lost 1-0 taking 2nd place.  From our team the league presented the "most goals" award and "most valuable goal keeper" award.  The team has much to be proud of!  They worked hard.  John is now assisting in selecting and preparing a team that will be representing Belize in a U15 tournament in Mexico in July.   Today they picked the team of 16 who will be on the team.

D-Facts TV show:

D-facts is a talk show on Thursday nights from 7-9pm BC/Canada time and 8:30-9:30pm that deals with issues pertaining to men and family-focusing on empowering men and the family with Godly values and morals.  The heart of it is if we have a strong family, we have a strong community, a strong society and a strong nation.  John is one of the co-hosts of this show.  If you would like to tune in to see the show it is live-streamed at www.plustvbelize.com

Baby Girl's Club:

As I mentioned before I, Patti, have been involved with Nicole C.Mullen's ministry she has started here, helping out where I can.  The girls, Evangeline and Naomi love to go and have done so many fun things - singing, dancing and learning memory verses.  So far, they have memorized verses 1-16 of Psalms 139!  Amazing.  I was asked if I would choreograph a dance to Nicole's song "Holy Captivated" and of course I said yes!  There are about 7 girls age 6 -11 and 10 girls 12 and up who are participating.  It has been a year and a half since I have danced and it has been refreshing and life-giving to do it again and for such a great song.  Some may remember it was one of Nicole C Mullen's songs "My Redeemer Lives" that I danced to at my mother's funeral and so it is very special for me to do this.  I will try to post a video of the performance that happens next Saturday at a "meet and greet" with Nicole and her family.

A Few Changes:

During our time in Canada last year, we, and our spiritual advisors, decided it was time to expand and create closer ties with the head office of our sending churches in order to be more efficient and accountable financially.  We are now official missionaries under the Apostolic Church of Pentacost, or ACOP) umbrella. This will also open more avenues for us to share the vision of what God is doing in Belize and create a far greater network as well as create a few more options for our supporters to give  such as direct deposit and Visa/Mastercard options.
Nothing has changed with our vision and function here in Belize.  We are asking our present supporters and those who have maybe thought about it before to have a look at the new address and information.

Mail cheques payable to "Apostolic Church of Pentacost to:
