Summer 2016 Update

Hello from Belize!! Well, we did it!! We have successfully completed our school year, dance recitals, football tournaments and soon our music school recital and we are so excited it's summer!! The girls and I, Patti, will be travelling to Canada June 28th - July 19th. We are SO PUMPED since our last trip was 4 years ago!! (How does time fly by so fast?!) We will get to go to my best friend from high school's wedding, and visit family and friends I haven't seen in YEARS!! After a VERY hot few weeks here in Belize, we are so thankful for some rain!! Oh sweet rain! Our avocado, mango, sour sop, and star fruit trees are beginning to bear, the girls are in holiday mode (pajamas, art projects, too much tv and boredom).

George Elementary -  Evangeline has successfully complete grade 3! She loves science, piano and dance- also anything with her pet cats! She will sit her Grade 1 ABRSM exam for music theory in November. Naomi completed Grade 1 and continues to be a reading machine. She also recently started the violin and after just 7 lessons performed in her first violin recital! All of us stood in amazement at a very obvious natural talent- she reminds me so much of my mom. Charlotte started pre-school and loves learning her numbers and letters. She is always ready to be a helper girl and also performed in her first piano recital this year playing "Mary had a little lamb" with little to no help from me. She is a very strong and independent force of nature (her name means 'free lioness of God' so what did we expect right?)

En Croix School of Dance May 14th - "Fly"
We had our year end recital for the dance school and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!! 43 students from ages 3-21 performed in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. God is good. We have had a lot of transitions in teachers and instructors this year - but the message is clear - God's plans for En Croix in Belize is not depending on people. His grace and favor is on us and we will continue to stay the course.

Football(Soccer) Ministry
YWAM Boys (team Valencia) recently finished a local football tournament. Coaches Santi, John and Andy coached the boys into 1st place for the U13 category! These boys, who only last year barely knew the rules, had no real training, and did not place anywhere in this same tournament worked SO hard this year and came to win it!! Praise God!! I have watched John and the other coaches work with these boys- it truly is a ministry in mentoring and championing these young men in the life skills of discipline, respect, hard work and perseverance.
John will not be coming with us to Canada on this trip because he was asked to coach for the U13 football team tournament in July.  July 6th-11, the "Codicader Belize Games" will feature football, basketball, volleyball and table tennis with players from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama all under the age of 13. This is the first time Belize has hosted this event and we are so excited for the kids of Belize to get this opportunity.  Please be keeping John in prayer as it is a LOT of logistics and training that needs to happen before this tournament.

.

We are currently in need of finances to help cover our travel expenses.  If you would like to give towards our trip, and need a tax deductible receipt, please see the info on the right.  If you would like to send it directly to us please contact me for paypal info or a mailing address for cheques.
We thank you for partnering with us!!

Blessings!!
The Georges
