I can't believe how fast time is going. It seems not that long ago our family started out on this amazing adventure. Our kids have experienced many firsts on this trip, Evangeline and Naomi learning to swim, Evangeline learning to read, Naomi learning her letters, Charlotte sitting up, waving bye bye, raising her hands when you say, "Praise the Lord", and most recently their FIRST experience with FALL! Raking leaves, jumping in them.. you name it. It was FUN!
We are thankful for all of you whom we have come into contact with, but most of all our parents, Jim and Bev Flewwelling who have not only allowed us to stay with them, but embraced us staying with them... through all the craziness, fun, and drama that goes with a family of 5 moving into your basement! We love and appreciate you both SO very much. The girls are pretty attached to their grandparents now, I am so thankful they have been able to spend time with them and getting to know them. Pretty special!
This past month John was able to participate with the ACOP leadership meetings and meet many of the amazing leaders who serve in the southern interior of BC for their annual conference. He also was able to share a bit about Belize and what God is doing there. He also shared in our home church, "The Bridge" this past Sunday. It was great to give an update on what God is doing in Belize but it was also a powerful time of honouring some of our dearest friends and pastors, Mark and Sandi Gordon. They are truly an inspiration of what servant leadership is. We love you and your family so much!
We thank you for your continued prayer as John will be speaking in our church, Living Waters, here in Salmon Arm on the 4th and the 18th of November.
AND, I, Patti, will be speaking at the Living Waters Ladies Christmas fundraiser on the 30th of November. Yes, you heard right.. PATTI speaking. I am nervous but excited about what God has been doing deep in my heart and I feel like there are key things He is wanting me to share. The fundraiser event is to raise funds towards a "pantry" of items such as food items, toiletries, etc that will be used to bless the community of Salmon Arm. Looking forward to it!
School for the girls is always an adventure. I love their desire to learn. They most definitely keep me on my toes trying to think of new and creative ways for them to learn. I have discovered Pinterest! Endless good ideas there.
Evangeline's Social Studies this week was about Rules and Safety. It talked about police officers, government officials, city workers, etc.. who provide rules for us in the community to live by. We have crosswalk rules, speed limits etc to keep us safe. It turned into an amazing talk about how God has made ultimate "universe rules" and rules that we need to live by because he LOVES us! He wants us to live a long prosperous life and knows that we need rules and guidelines to live by that honor HIM. I love it when God provides those opportunities to speak into our kids lives!
We are now looking towards our return in January to Belize. The kids have began to speak about their toys they miss, their room, wearing shorts and flip flops haha, and we know this will be just around the corner! One of the main reasons we chose to take some time off was not only to spend time as a family to refuel to go back on the mission field once again, but to be able to raise our monthly family support required for us to live and serve in Belize. We would like to ask you to pray about supporting our family monthly. Every $20, $50, or whatever amount you feel you would like to do, helps and will go towards helping us be a blessing to the nation of Belize. If you are interested please see the information on this blog under "Become a Partner" or contact me via email: influencenations@gmail.com to get more information.
Thank you so much for partnering with us!!
The Georges
