It's Christmas TIME!!!

Cool weather has rolled into our hot and humid Belize and I could not be happier.  By cool, I mean 17C low ;)  This is my favourite time of year here in Belize.

High Schools

John has had the privilege to be able to go into the schools again this year.  Every Tuesday and Friday, all day, he and Renisse (another YWAMer) and sometimes a few others, go into Life Skills classes in Baptist High School and Comprehensive High school here in Belmopan.  We are thankful for a continued open door and good relationship with the principals of these schools.

En Croix School of Dance

The Kinder-dance class we started in September, quickly filled up and we felt the need to start another class, separating the older from the younger students.  Our final count for students is somewhere around 20 for now.  These kids are a complete joy.  Our teachers have such a heart to work with these kids and teach them not only the art of ballet and dance but to love the Lord with all their heart.  I am excited about this new season and where God will take the school.  We have a Parent's Night presentation for Christmas on Dec.16th where the kids will present their dance they have been working so hard on and of course singing a few silly songs ;)
Please continue to pray for God to move us into greater areas and continue to expand and bring the right people to serve along-side us.

FOOTBALL/Soccer

Belize recently hosted an under 16 tournament with nations from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Belize.  Santi Valencia, the YWAM director at our sister base in Roaring Creek, was asked to be a part of the coaching team for team Belize.  John was asked to help with the YWAM football boys who helped serve as the "ball boys" for the games and turned out helping the FIFA federation co-ordinate all the ball boys.  It was such a great experience for all the boys involved, even though they did not win it is a step in the right direction for our nation of Belize in providing opportunities while being available as a positive role model in the lives of these boys.

Prayer and Intercession

YWAM Belmopan & Legacy Youth Ministries are hosting a call to worship and prayer every Friday night on our base.  We realize that prayer is the foundation in all we do.  Friday nights is open to anybody who would like to come and join us pray for our nation!

The George family

We'd like to thank everybody who prays and takes interest in our mission here in Belize.  Also, thanks to those who gave towards our "house project" to help seal up our house and make it safer.   The project will start in January 2014.  If you would still like to give please see the preview blog post on this page for that information.  We are very grateful and have lots to be thankful for!  Today, we will be putting up our Christmas tree!!

Thanks and blessings!
