En Croix Performance - June 3rd

En Croix School of Dance finished it's school year June 3rd with a small little performance with our 22 students.  My heart soared as I watched all of our hard work all be worth it.  Each little child spun, plied, pointed their toes, smiled harder than they ever did in practice.  I could not imagine a better job than working with these kids, playing a part in building their self esteem and confidence all the while pointing them to Jesus from which their gifts and abilities came from.

We are looking forward to our dance camp -June 30th - July 2nd.  A friend, who has visited Belize before and done a dance camp with us in 2011, will be returning to us!  We are so excited about this God connection and thankful for Keri Halvorson's heart to serve the arts in Belize.  It will also serve as an intense training time for our amazing teachers, Bethany Fritzler and Keilah Andrews who give so much of their hearts and time for these kids.

At our recent teacher meeting, one of our board members had a word for us about Nehemiah.

Nehemiah 4:15 -17 "......we all returned to the wall, each to his work. 16From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and body-armour; and the leaders posted themselves behind the whole house of Judah, 17who were building the wall. The burden-bearers carried their loads in such a way that each laboured on the work with one hand and with the other held a weapon."

THIS is what we are doing.  Doing the work to build excellence in character and skill, with our "weapon" being the Word of God and backing of His Holy spirit to accomplish His will!

If you would like to sponsor a child to come to dance camp PLEASE let me know!  Email: influencenations@gmail.com and I will send you info how to do so.
It is $30CAN or $25US for the week (which helps us cover studio electricity and Keri's food, transport etc)

Another opportunity the dance studio has had was to participate in Nicole C. Mullen's concert here in Belize on May 31st.  WOW and WOW.  I choreographed a dance that included us 3 teachers and 6 of our main girls who attend our school (ages 7-9) to the song "Power" from Nicole's album "Crown Him".  I am not sure the final count at the concert but I'm pretty sure it was near 1000, and we got to perform LIVE on stage with a LIVE band and with a LIVE Nicole C Mullen.  :)  Nicole was AMAZING in concert and the anointing of God's presence was so strong on stage as we worshipped.  She shone as a light for Jesus in our little community and it was so amazing!  I am so thankful for the opportunity, and so full of joy that these young girls (Evangeline included) had the chance to do that.
Thanks and blessings!
